During the February Board meeting, our Trustees approved a new four-tier system for school hours. This schedule will be effective beginning the 2023-2024 school year.

 




IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT COVID-19:

Please notify campus staff BEFORE visiting an LCISD campus or center if:

• You or someone in your household has been officially diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

• You or someone in your household has been ill with any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days: fever greater than or equal to 100.0; shortness of breath, cough, chills, diarrhea, headache, sore throat; new loss of taste or smell.

• You have a compromised immune system

In these cases, district personnel will be glad to assist in completing the registration process through virtual means such as email, etc.

Athletic Information

2022-2023 Briscoe Athletic Dates  

All 7th and 8th grade students interested in major sports must complete online RankOne Sport forms and turn in a 2022-2023 sports physical.  All forms can be found below.

Physical Day

WHEN: May 16, 2023

WHERE: Foster Competition and Auxiliary Gym

TIME:  10:00-5:30pm

COST: $20.00

Dear Parents/Guardians,

            All 2022-2023 physicals will expire June 1, 2023. UIL/LCISD requires annual pre-participation physicals for (7-12^th) athletics, drill team, color guard, marching band, and SAC camp members prior to participation in accordance with UIL guidelines. Foster will be bringing in doctors from the Memorial Hermann/UT Physicians Medical Group to allow students to complete a physical on May 16th. This is the ONLY day that the doctors will be available on campus at Foster High School; therefore, all other physicals must be completed outside of school by a physician at their cost. Briscoe students will be brought over during school hours. Wertheimer students will be escorted over after school so please plan to pick your child up at the Foster Gyms parking lot. Students must bring their eyeglasses or contacts on the day of physicals for the vision screening.

All physicals must be dated on or after May 1, 2023, to be valid for the upcoming school year (2023-2024) and must be turned in to the Foster Athletic Trainers. No exceptions. 

Physicals for SAC camp must be turned in by May 25^th.

Pre-registration is required by completing the following before May 12th:

• Complete the Medical History portion with explanations for all answers marked “yes” and signatures. Must be completed in blue or black ink. Turn in form Coach Kizziah or Coach Williams @Foster High School Fieldhouse or Coach Bristol @Briscoe Junior High. DO NOT TURN IN TO THE FRONT OFFICE @ ANY SCHOOL.
• $20.00 Payment ONLINE Only (online payments will open on April 24^th & Close @ midnight on May 12th).                                                                                                

Rank one forms must also be completed annually. These will not be available until after May 5^th for the

Please make all necessary arrangements for that day. If you have any questions or would like to know an available time to drop off forms, please call the Foster Athletic Training Room at 832-223-3970.

       Soccer

Soccer tryouts begin Monday 3/20/23.  Sign up in the coaches office beginning Monday 3/6/23.  If you have not gotten your physical and completed online rank one forms, you will not be able to tryout.

Tennis

Tennis tryouts begin Monday 3/20/23.  Sign up NOW with Coach Herring.  If you have not gotten your physical and completed online rank one forms, you will not be able to tryout.

It is a UIL/TEA/LCISD requirement that your child has the required forms completed in order to be able to play football, tryout for volleyball, or be enrolled in Major Sports.
